What we doThe Tweed Family Charitable Foundation offers grants to charities
and not-for-profit organisations that meet our objectives. Our ambition is to promote life enhancing opportunities to socially disadvantaged young people under the age of 25. Such opportunities may be educational (in it's broadest sense), or vocational, and should provide opportunity that would otherwise be inaccessible to the young people concerned without our financial support. Our particular focus is to inspire young people to live full and valuable lives and break the cycle of chaos that many experience. With this in mind, we are most likely to support initiatives that impact on smaller groups that have a lasting impact on the young people over the longer term. We are unlikely to support programmes that seek to touch large numbers through one off presentations or experiences. As a small charity ourselves we are only able to fund a limited number of new projects each year. Grants would typically be up to £10,000pa for up to 3 years.
